Ah Paris! The Eiffel Tower is beautiful from every angle. I love the magical look it takes on in the evening. Every hour it twinkles, lights on it flash randomly and makes it blink. Think of your blinking Christmas tree lights, only not tacky and towering over you. There is nothing immediately surrounding it. Paris is relatively flat- no tall skyscrapers, it automatically transports you into another classic time. Hence the reason I love the black and white and sepia toned photos of it. No picture can really do it justice. I loved it. Some say its over rated, they are loony!
The tower has 3 observation levels. You can ride elevators up the "legs" or climb the stairs up to the second level. The line for the elevators was the most ridiculous line ever, partly due to the fact that two "legs" were closed down. We climbed the stairs up to the 2nd level. We took our time and it wasn't that bad. Then, the only way up to the third level, the very tippy top, is a terrifying almost tower of terror clear bottom elevator ride that you can can't breath in cause they pack so many people in it.

Sunset
I have to admit ascending to the top was very nerve wracking to see the ground disappearing below you, but when we got to the top.....okay it was still scary! It was almost like a plane, you are so ridiculously high in the air you can't really fathom how high up you are. It wasn't so bad. I spared you the kissy face pic. You are welcome.
Can you see the little ants? There was a serious party going on in the lawn. The police had cleared everyone out that evening and roped off the grass.
Both of us not believing we are standing in front of the most famous icon in the world. We were so grateful to my sister and her husband who were watching our kiddos so we could go on our adventure!
