Suprise.....it's a GIRL!!!

Okay so now that I'm twenty weeks pregnant, I thought I should post our exciting news. Yesterday we went up to UW medical center in Seattle for an ultrasound and testing. We met with some pretty great doctors, and got some really great views of the baby. She is growing like she should and so far everything looks great. We have to go back in two weeks because they weren't able to see the part of the brain that connects the left and right brain. We had some testing done a while ago that showed some abnormalities, and as far as they can tell it is due to what they call Placenta Lakes. Its pools of blood forming in the placenta. They just have to monitor growth of the baby and make sure its growing like it should. Basically I get to have lots of ultrasounds to check up on baby.

In the morning before we left we asked the kids what they wanted and they all came back to a sister. It was very sweet to see the boys especially have a soft little look in their eyes when they thought of a baby sister. I was so surprised. I was totally expecting a boy. I have been craving man food ie. summer sausage, cheese, crackers, beef sticks. In fact I'll have to pick one up today. We are excited to have another little one in our home. Its going to be new territory now that I have cognizant children at home. All the others were 2 years apart and now Marsh will be 4 1/2. Emma will be 8 1/2. Emma will be very helpful and the boys will love this little girl for sure.

Our due date is November 27.

I am so happy for you guys! I am even happy the needle was wrong...a little girl will be so much fun and the boys can start their "anti-boyfriend" training. You aren't out of the woods yet though, she could still come out looking like Ryan

Congrats! I was worried too, because the older 3 are all exactly 2 1/2 years apart and the youngest was an extra year behind. Our oldest was 8 1/2 & #3 was 3 1/2when the youngest was born, it has turned out to be a blessing. They all love him so much more than they cared about each other at that age. #1 even gets the little one out of his crib almost every day still. It has allowed our 3rd to grow up a bit.
