Girls Camp

Last weekend Ryan and I got to go to an overnight hike for girls camp. This year I am a leader for the 4th year girls. They split it up according to year, and have some time designated for the wards. We went up to Capital forest for the overnighter, and next week is the actual girls camp. The girls learned how to cook outdoors using four different methods. It was pretty cool to learn different things I wasn't familiar with.

We went to bed and the camp next to us were drinkin' the night away. Around 3 am they blasted up their music and were cursin' like drunken sailors. We figure they were tuckered out about 5:00. The sun started to light the sky. 6:30 came quickly and we got up and made breakfast and set of for and 8 1/2 mile hike. It was a long hike for me especially since I haven't been that overly active lately. It was really great to go out and do this with Ryan. I think the girls had a good time too.

Girls camp is next week and there are lots of things planned for these girls. It is amazing how much work people put into making activities for the youth.
