Im 30. I didn't post about it yet because I thought maybe I could stay in my 20's a little bit longer. I wasn't really scared about thirty, but my twenties were really great. 30 years ago I was born at St. Peter's hospital to Frank and Barbara and 4 older siblings. I was number 5, which by the way after having 3 im still amazed that we ended up with 6 kids. I must have been really good for my parents so they would have another. Just kidding.
We had a great childhood, where you could ride your bike all over the neighborhood and walk down to 7-eleven and get penny candy and slurpees. We had this business that was not too far away that was past a great bike riding field and get free or $0.25 old chips on Thursdays, I think. We had the local buymart or something like that around the corner, and a yummy doughnut place with a huge boulder in front to sit on to eat your freshly made treasure. We played soccer in the park a block from my home and walked to school 6 blocks away. Pretty much every thing we needed was around the corner.
All my siblings learned how to play a musical instrument. Everybody called us the musical family. I dont think I realized that everybody wasn't like that. It was just part of who we were.
Im so glad I dont have to go back to the teen years. Thats all I have to say about that. Im happy with where I am at now with the family and friends I am surrounded by now. 30 isnt bad. I think I was always 30. I just finally grew into it. Im looking forward to the next ten years. At the end of it though, Emma will almost be 18. wow that will be quite the trip.

I hope you had a great birthday!. 30 isn't so bad.
Okay, that comment about Emma being 8 when you turn 40 TOTALLY freaked me out! Can you even imagine what we are heading for?
See you tonight!
Happy Birthday Sarah...30 hasn't been that bad for me, but when I think how old I will be when Kenzie turns 18, then my knees start to get a little weak... : )
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I too loved "Tom's Market" to this day I'm not sure what that business was, with the lady at the desk who smelled of cigarettes. I've been thinking of you all week and hope you had a day filled with tons of attention. We love you.
Happy Birthday! 30 isn't so bad, huh? I'll be almost half way through my 40's when the kids are 18! Now, that's scary! Hope your day was great!
Happy Birthday Sarah! And Happy Birthday to Zachary and Marshall too-I've missed a lot on your blog. Looks like you guys have been busy having lots of fun. That is so awesome that you and Ryan went to Maui!!!! What a great place to celebrate your anniversary (10 years right?)
For summer reading 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' is one of the BEST books I have ever read. It is so clever and sweet and witty and you'll love the characters. Also 'The Book Thief' is really good, a little sad but really engaging. Have fun!
