Our 10th Anniversary

We are celebrating our 10 years together today. Time has really gone fast. We have learned so much in this last DECADE... Yikes. In 1999 we were worried about Y2K. The big movie was the Blair Witch project. The Backstreet boys were all the rage. Do you remember the titles Mambo no. 5 and Livin La Vida Loca? Yeah we were so cool back then. When we got married I had never lived outside of Lacey, Washington,never owned a car, never had a REAL job, (you know the kind with benefits) wasn't out of MY TEENS!!, and still had pimples (which I still haven't seemed to grow out of, what the heck?!# when does that go away?) As for Ryan, his dream was to get a job in Disneyland somewhere and play all day for work. We had life figured out. What we didn't realize at the time was that no one really took us seriously. We were just kids. We probably still are, but at least we are happy.

The things that impressed me about Ryan was his kind heart, his natural ability to lead people, his tall dark and "handsomeness", his energy, he was so smart, his lack of basketball skills, he was self confident, he was always very social and hung out with everyone, I always knew that whatever he would do, he would be successful, he had a great relationship with his parents, he was responsible, he never took himself too seriously, he knew how to have fun. It turns out we are great compliments to each other. We each make up for the other's weaknesses or faults. I love my husband and couldn't fathom being with anyone else.
