Family Reunion

All Aboard-- the Heber Creeper. This was a fun diversion. The kids got to go exploring the engine. Marshall didn't care for the horn blowing. The boys were in heaven. Emma read a whole book during the 3 hour trip.

Kids acting so crazy...aparently they didn't get the "don't act crazy at Grandma's house" memo...

Visiting Great Grandma Johnston

The kids thought these trees looked like the Tree of Life

Inside the tabernacle

Emma's favorite..the Christus statue in one of the visitor's centers

Seeing Temple Square on the way home

Visiting with Great Grandma McEntire

Hotel fun

Friday after girls camp I flew to Utah to meet Ryan and the kids that drove down earlier in the week for a family reunion on Judy's side. Unfortunately for me I missed out on most of the festivities, but the children had so much fun. They went to some canyon and had lots of games and activities going on. Ryan's cousin had an apartment over his garage for us to stay in and we went to his private water park basically everyday. He and another man in the neighborhood went together and built a pool with a waterslide and a waterfall to jump off. I could not peel Emma and Zach off that waterslide and Marshall finally got comfortable enough to float around and swim around on his own with a life jacket. We have been trying to get him to do that for weeks and papa jumps in with him and all the sudden he could do it. Glad for grandparents.

It was a whirlwind trip, but very fun. I also got to see my grandma's whom I don't get to see very often and go visit temple square. Emma was most excited to see where Pop's was baptized in the tabernacle, since he just talked about that at her baptism and the Christus statue. She was walking up the ramp and said this is my favorite! I love this place, well the last time she was there was 4 years ago, when she was 4 and she remembered it. I also got to see the constellation on the side of the Salt Lake Temple. I learned about it at girls camp during the stargazing. She said the little dipper was on the temple with the North Star to remind us of Christ, the gospel, and the temple as being our constant companions and the way to guide us in our lives.

Apparently it has been hot here. Im starting to gather that. We got home and are so spoiled that we were anxious to get in our air-conditioned house only to find out it isn't working. Darn.
