Catch up time

We have been looking forward to the father son's camp out since um...January. It was a big deal because this year Marsh was able to join the big kids. They were so excited. Plus Papa could join because he was dad's father. It was the last weekend in May. You know you don't camp enough when your son says how will we do smores without a microwave? Sad, I know. They came home smelling like that perfect camping scent of dirt and campfire.

We have a little tradition that when you are 4, you go to build a bear. Really it started that Emma did it when she was four, then she talked it up so much that the boys got into it too. Marsh got a panda bear and named it Pokey. He got a batman costume for it and flew it all over the mall, "saving" innocent bystanders.

The sunset was gorgeous on the way home from Tacoma.

Marshall got to celebrate his birthday with his best friend Bella. They had a birthday luau BBQ with friends from church. The big hit was the limbo game and kickball. 4-Year-olds and kickball is hilarious. I think the wind ended up blowing out the candles.

Ryan taught the boys how to play with army men. They line all their guys up across from each other and shoot marbles or bouncy balls and whoever is standing at the end wins. They get way into it. They line up the shoes behind them to prevent the ammo from going too far. They have learned that you don't want to put them too close together because its too easy for your opponent. I think I saw one on the counter last time they were playing.
