Aloha!!

Well we found our way down to Maui for about 8 days and were very lucky that dear friends and family were willing and able to take our three little darlings while we were off playing. Here are some of our favorite things we did and some interesting observations. Sorry for the lengthy post, its just so much fun to remember it all.

Day One: Arrival in Maui... the airport has no walls, you can smell the fresh air and humidity immediately. Sarah turns to Ryan and says, that man is wearing no shoes and no shirt. Welcome to the Hawaii way of life. check into condo

Day Two: Check out the sunrise on top of the volcano Haleakala, ....Im not a morning person, but due to the time change it wasnt so bad. SOOOO Cold up there.

Day three: Hit our favorite beach of the whole trip, Kaanapali. Great snorkeling swimming with turtles, and Ryan got rocked by the huge waves while boogy boarding. Note to self: If locals are out there boogy boarding, when they would rather surf, its best just to watch from the beach. Ryan did entertain many beach goers.

Luau, Poi is so gross, and Ryan got up close and personal with the hula dancers, all I gotta say is baby got back and I hope they don't eat right before, that would be a recipe for disaster.

Day Four: Road to Hana, gorgeous scenery, and Rainy....it is the rainforest. Found the best bannana bread on the face of the planet, served hot. I Kept hearing Ryan say, but Sarah this is what Jeeps are for. You can only guess what kinds of roads he was going on.

Day Five: Warren and Annabels magic show. It was the best show ever, this guy is hilarious, I don't ever remember laughing so hard. My sides hurt so bad. He was very clean. We would recommend this to anyone.

Day Six: change hotels, hang out at beach drink virgin fruity drinks. More snorkeling and turtles and boogyboarding.

Day Seven: Soak up the rays and hang out at the beach. I seem to remember saying hey do you think we should eat sometime today. Ryan's response was sure whenever. ya mon.

Day Eight: The conversation went something like hey what do you want to do today on our last day. I don't know... whatever. Maybe we could just hang out at the beach, Sure sounds good.

Redeye flight back home, which was murder.

I think our relaxation vacation was a success. We totally got into not having to worry about a thing. We enjoyed talking to people from all over the United States, getting shaved ice, eating fresh yummy pineapple, playing all day, and trying new things. We had a great time, remembering who we are under all the schedules and demands of everyday life. It is a beautiful place to visit with crystal clear water, perfect sandy beaches to squish your toes in. I can still smell the mix of salty ocean and sunscreen....

Hey! We thought about giving you guys a call, since we were just a few islands over from you! We were on Oahu for almost a week and then on the Big Island for five days (we just got back last night). Small world!
