Proof of Spring and other things

This past weekend was so sunny and actually warm. It got to 75 degrees. I couldn't believe it. These Pictures were inspired by Sarah A's kids jumping on couches pictures. They were having so much fun running around outside and jumping off the deck I had to snap some photos.

This also happened to be conference weekend. It was awesome. My favorite all time talks was Elder Holland. I kind of feel like it will be one of those ones people quote for years. It was a powerful look into the last week of the life of Christ.
It was centered on the on the fact of that He was totally alone when He went through the most important and difficult part of His ministry. First by followers, then by disciples, and then from the Father. It was very fitting message as it was palm Sunday which he delivered his message. It was a very personal message to Elder Holland and he spoke with such power and conviction. Words cannot describe the power of this talk.

I'm always impressed with how these messages are so very important to help warn us, prepare us for the future, and to testify of our Father in Heaven, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so blessed.

I also got to go for a bike ride with my dad. It was the best. It was warm and sunny. My mom had called and offered to take the kids while I went out with dad. Talk about a deal of a life time. So we get there and she has all kinds of things planned for them. They dyed eggs, washed her car, picked up pine cones, played games, and had ice cream. No wonder they think our house is boring! I loved riding bikes with dad he didn't smoke me too bad, He just likes to mention I need to call him up when I turn 60 to go riding.

the words of Elder Holland have been in my mind all week. It was a fantastic talk! It was by far, the one that ment the most to me. What ever trials or pains we go throug, there is nothing the Savior has not felt and paid for. We are never on our own.

The kids look great. Enjoy spring!!

Emily, thanks so much for your thoughts of Elder Holland's talk, that was an amazing testimony of the Atonement. Your Blog page is always fun to look at, your family is great, growing up so fast. We enjoyed being with your Dad and Mom on Grandma McEntire's birthday dinner friday night. Your folks are both really great. Love, Kandy and Warren
