Saturday started out sunny so Mom headed out to Boston Harbor on her bike. The plan was to meet the family out at the marina and play around. The kids wanted to ride their bikes too so I thought great, they can go to the Woodard bay trail after the marina, and I'll meet up with them on the way back. Well I got out to the marina and the voice on the other end of the phone said, Wow you got out there a lot quicker than I expected. An hour later a very frustrated dad showed up with 3 kids with looks on their faces of we just want to move at our own pace and nothing you say will change that. I felt bad for dad, but being the Washington that it is, the weather had changed and I was freezing. My muscles froze up and were very stiff. Not good conditions on a hilly bike ride back. Oh well there's always next week..... All told it was a decent outing for the family, we saw a seal, live crabs, collected shells, saw Pops' boat (it looks good dad--it's still there) and got sand in our shoes. One thing is for sure you never know how a plan will go with children.

Oh, I could tell by the looks of those faces in those pictures, this was going to be a great post! How fun that you got to go out and see the local wildlife though!

I am so proud of you for keeping up the riding. Nice work! Don't you love the flow of parenting.....and we LOVE Boston Harbor! The only place you can get penny and nickel treats!
