Change

So recently I have been released from Relief Society, now I am in the Young Women's. I must say that I was so excited to be there with the girls. I love the fact that we do get to do many different things. It is interesting feeling when you put so much time and energy on something, then all of a sudden its gone and you have a release of pressure, of worry.

The one thing that really stands out in my mind as something to take with me is how well we all worked together. Our president was brand new in our ward and knew nobody. The Bishop went down a list of people and gave her a roster. She prayed and thought about it and came up with counselors and secretary. On our agenda for the first meeting was introductions, because we had never met. It was a testimony to me that she relied on the spirit. The second item of business was figuring out what we were over. We got mixed up on which counselor was doing what, again we prayed, and all recieved a confirmation of what the Lord wanted us to do. I knew I was supposed to be the enrichment counselor and knew what a daunting task that would be. Boy did I learn a lot, luckily I was surrounded by wonderful women who picked up for my shortcomings, and many stepped up to help me out.

The presidency worked together so well there were never times of contention or hurt feelings or frustrations. I learned so much from those ladies and will miss their
weekly influence on my life. As we move on to other things, it's exciting to know Heavenly Father is mindful of us all, and knows when we need to grow and when we need a break and just take it easy for a while.

Sarah that was really an awesome post. It really helped me. I am struggling a little in my calling as enrichment counselor. But you are right. I work with some wonderful women and I feel thankful to have their support and the opportunity to work with them. I am learning a lot that for sure.

Susan's life in our ward was a great experience for all of us. Wasn't it neat to see how even if our paths cross just briefly, we are forever in eachother's hearts. I SO MISS you in Relief Society though!

I miss you too! The Lord does know us individually and where we need the most growth or our help is needed - that is the most amazing part!
