Dad
Recently Ryan has been travelling lots for work. The kids and I bunker down and try our best to cope. Usually by day 2 they are all tired of me and want to know when the fun parent will be back. We then go through how many times they have to sleep before his arrival. I think I have things pretty well under control until the day before he comes home. Somehow the kids decide to get every article of clothing out of their drawers and pull out all toys, especially puzzles and the like. Naturally everything is a disaster by the time dad gets back home he takes one look at me with the bad hair, frazzled look on my face, and says go do something fun. Within the time I get back, the kids are fed, bathed, in bed, and the house is spotless. I take a look around and say how do you do it? I realize he is pretty awesome for coming home from working really hard and still has compassion for the work I do. He is a pretty great dad and our home is sad without him.
